Congratulations to the Windsor Spitfires for winning back to back Memorial Cup titles! Former Sun County Panther Eric Wellwood had a strong tournament as the Spits went undefeated and won the final game in a rout over the host Brandon Wheat Kings.
Belle River Canadiens win Great Lakes Jr C Championship

Congratulations to the Belle River Canadiens for winning the Great Lakes Jr C Championship. Their great season finally was ended as they fell in the Schmaltz Cup Provincial Final to Alliston in 6 games. Several former Panthers play on this team.
Lasalle Vipers win Sutherland Cup

Congratulations to the Lasalle Vipers for not only winning the Western Ontario Jr B Championship, but also winning the Sutherland Cup title in 5 games over the Brantford Golden Eagles. Head Coach John Nelson and Assistant Coach Gil Langlois are former Sun County coaches. Former Panther players on the Vipers team include Chris Lugosi, Dylan Seguin, Eric Noel, Troy Cox, Mike Soligny, Chris Leeming and Drew Palmer.

Congratulations to the defending Memorial Cup Champion Windsor Spitfires for repeating as OHL Champions winning in a 4 game sweep over the Barrie Colts. Best of luck to former Panther Eric Wellwood and the Spitfires as they travel to Brandon, Manitoba in their quest to repeat as Memorial Cup Champions.
